Hall Forest Residents Association - General Meeting Anouncement

The Hall Forest Residents Assoication are please to anounce the date of our first General Meeting, which is to be held in the Kintore Public Hall on Thursday 29th June.

The meeting will start at approximately 7:30pm, following the Neighbourhood Watch presentation by Grampian Police.

The committee will give an overview of our activities over the past 6 months, what we are actively involved with, but mostly to listen to feedback from residents who may have queries, issues or concerns they wish to raise or discuss with us.

Please note that we won’t be press ganging anyone into helping out or joining the committee (though additional assistance would be warmly accepted!), so please don’t worry about coming along for fear of being pressured into helping out!

Neighbourhood Watch Presentation @ Thursday 29th June

In conjunction with Grampian Police, a Neighbourhood Watch presentaiton/start-up meeting has been arranged for Thursday 29th July. The meeting will be held in Kintore Public Hall and will start at 7pm.

The presentation will give us all the information needed about neighbourhood watch schemes and their benefits to the community (cheaper home insurance is one example). They will also have a supply of house and street signs available.

We would encourage all residents to attend if possible to learn more about the scheme and get it up and running.

Persimmon Homes build road in wrong place ?

It appears that Persimmon Homes have built the entry/exit road to their new Falconer Park development in the wrong place. The road is directly opposite a traffic island, effectively blocking the junction. It is either this, or the island (which has been in place for over 9 months) was built in the wrong place.

Aberdeenshire Council have been asked to clarify the situation, as this hazard is clearly in breach of planning regulations.

Greenbelt Contractors Back On Site

Greenbelt’s contractors have been spotted by residents on Hall Forest Avenue today beginning what is beleived to be the completion of the remainder of the remedial work.  Completion of all remedial work will likely not be completed during this visit and a few more visits throughout the remainder of June maybe required for everything to be brought up to an acceptable level.

Although many residents have felt that this process has been frustratingly slow, Greenbelt are keen to have all remedial works completed as soon as possible.

Weather permitting, committee members will be touring the developments on Thursday 8th June to formally record problem areas that will then be forwarded to Greenbelt and be used at the end of June to verify that all remedial work has been completed.  The committee invites residents to inform them of specific problem areas that they would like us to be aware of.  This can be done by submitting a comment to this post or sending an email to committee@hallforest.co.uk.
