Angling Club
Fishing on club water at
Kintore. Permits, local and exchange, club outings throughout
the year. A warm welcome awaits new members. Contact Jim

Bowling
Outdoor Bowling
The Kintore Bowling Club operate from late April through to September at the clubs
bowling greens located on Castle Road, behind the primary school (
map).
From October to
April, the club is open every Thursday evening at 19:30.

Further
outdoor bowling facilities can be found in Aberdeen.
Indoor Bowling
There is also indoor bowling in the stadium on the Harlaw
Industrial Estate, Inverurie (Tel: 622622)
Ten Pin Bowling
Ten pin bowling, the type of
bowling that we all generally play from time to time, is available in
Aberdeen along within Codonnas Amusement Park (
map).
Cricket
Kintore Cricket Club was established
in 1878 and is dedicated to the provision of good quality local
cricketing facilities for the benefit of its members and the local
community. Kintore currently has 2 teams playing in the
Aberdeenshire Grades Cricket Association with the 1st XI the current
champions of Grade 1 and the 2nd XI playing in Grade 3.
The cricket club has very close links
with the local community and is very well supported, we regularly
put on social events throughout the course of the year and actively
encourage new members
Kintore
Cricket Club is always on the look out for new players with the
weekly practice night taking place on a Tuesday and all new members
of any age or ability are welcome to attend. Visit

Fitness Centres
There is currently no fitness centres
within Kintore but there are in the surrounding area.
Thainstone House Country Club
The nearest fitness centre is the Thainstone House Country Club that
also includes spa, health and swimming facilities. Use of
these facilities is limited to members only. For more information about membership and the

Garoich Sports Centre
There is
are numerous facilities open to the public without membership at the Garoich Sports Centre on
Burghmuir Drive in Inverurie (Tel: 01467 626141). For more

Swimming Centre
There is also a small fitness centre available to the public without
membership at the Swimming Centre in Inverurie (Tel: 01467 620654).

Fiddle & Accordion Club
Meetings held on 1st
Wednesday of each month in the Torryburn Hotel at 7:45pm except
during the months of July, August and January. Telephone Mrs

Football Club
Amateur
There are many amateur
football clubs in surrounding towns and villages ranging from youth
football club levels up to semi-professional levels. A list of

Professional
In nearby Inverurie, the
Inverurie
Loco Works football club, whose home pitch is Harlaw Park in
Inverurie, are currently playing in the Highland league.
The local premier football league team is
Aberdeen Football Club.
At present their stadium is located at Pittodrie Stadium, near Aberdeen beach, though plans are
in progress to build a new stadium in Kingswells which is closer to
Kintore.
Golf Club
Situated on
Kintore's doorstep,
Kintore Golf Club consists of a 18 hole course consisting of a mixture of hilly parkland, and holes
lined by trees and criss-crossed by burns, producing some very
interesting and tricky holes.The recently extended and
refurbished Clubhouse has a pleasant lounge and dining room that
provide views over the Don Valley to Kintore or over the challenging
1st hole.
Visitors are welcome all year around though
availability should be checked before hand in the summer months.
Varied types of membership are available including social membership
for those who do not golf but would like to enjoy the facilities of
the club house.

Swimming Clubs & Pools
There is a 25m swimming and a 12.5m
teaching pool at the Inverurie Swimming Centre that is
based next to Inverurie Academy (
